CVS Caremark Extortion

Recently CVS Caremark broke it's agreements with other pharmacies and now demands any victims using its services must purchase from CVS pharmacy or their mail order. The criteria for this conversion is filling a perscription twice. Once you do, they force you to a "maintenance" plan that forces you to buy 3 months at a time.
I use(d) Alvesco for which I have a coupon that cancels the co-pay. But by forcing me to buy 3 months CVS Caremark is nullifying the coupon and extorting an additional $90 dollars that I would otherwise not pay.
This is not required medically. It is not the wish of the doctor(s). It is not my wish to pay an extra $90. It is the will of one Larry J. Merlo, CEO and Per Lofberg, Executive VP of CVS Caremark and president of Caremark Pharmacy Services.

Both of these men made millions in excess of a million dollars last year alone. They are doing this to ensure higher profits and doing it at the expense of the unemployed, the powerless and the poor.

Once I am free of this nasty insurance policy I will never, under any circumstances do busines with any CVS pharmacy or any arm of the CVS corporate structure. These people give capitalism and very bad name.

I wish I could change but somehow my insurance carrier and CVS have a special bond which prevents me from changing pharmacies but let me tell you about my Friday's June 24th ordeal. My wife is Incilin dependent(Diabetic) and yesterday we were told by insurance that we will no longer pay 40 dollars, we will now be paying 166 so then the 7 hour battle began and to make a long story short the reason why the price went up is because once you fill your medication after 1 or 2 times they require you to buy the 90 day supply(they claim it's in the customers benefit). So after driving from CVS to CVS, Gas, ER Visit(Wife needed incilin) add in the wife's emotional pain and suffering of thinking you might not see her the next day?I'm the one left holding the bill. So right now I'm planning on doing home work on suing both parties. It will be a long process but I'm willing to fight for whats right. It's supposed to be about the what's good for the public and not your profits.

I understand your pain. I have a prescriptions I now have to get the three month supply and it costs me over $400.00. I used to get a month at a time to ease the pain of the cost because getting popped with 400 bucks hurts. What's even worse, just found out one of my meds was short by exactly a month by the local CVS here and now nothing I can do about it, but do without for a whole month. Wonder what would happen if I changed my prescriptions to Walgreens???
