this Company-nationwide-when they receive a prescription usually by e rx of fax-they fill it and charge all customers-they do not verify if the member is still on the medication-they send a robot call saying order received-now if the person has just gone to the doctor- they may assume it is the office renewing their rx for the year-if they are out of town and do not get the order received message-
cvs caremark fills the rx wether it is correct or not and charges the individual-when the customer calls saying I am not even on this medication anymore or worse-you overdrafted my bank account-for example a drug such as crestor costs 105.00-they say gee that is too bad-we filled it in good faith and you cannot return it. and you cannot get your money back because you put a credit card on file with us so that gives us permission to use it-they do not care if it is the right medication or not-they do not verify the rx with the md nor do they wait to speak to the member to verify if they should fill it or not.I personally have gotten call after call on this issue from federal employees,and Aetna members-all clients they serve and yes medicare. Monies are not refunded.overdrafts-not their problem.My mom is 98. she has dementia.a drug called indapimide put her in the hospital 10 yrs ago-she is allergic to it.if cvs caremark got an order for it =they'd send it-she'd take it and she'd be dead-and they'd say-was not our error-that is what they tell everyone.blame your doctor and you are stuck with it.this happens nationwide at cvs caremark everyday to terns of thousands of people.they have corporate headquarters in Woonsocket rhode island. .the CEO is MR. Merlo .In my opinion-this needs to STOP NOW. There should be a law against this! Seniors and indigent patients and disabled patients should NOT be treated this way! other mail order pharmacies DO NOT do this at all! Medco DID and they are gone now.go ask United healthcare if they do it-I Promise you they will say no.if you cannot stop this please help me find someone who CAN-by the way-where does congress and aarp and cms/medicare stand 0n this issue????company wide they are making a fortune off of this poor business practice each day. please HELP stop this.I'd be willing to talk to congress-no problem! I am a patient advocate!!the sales of stop smoking meds went up by 66 per cent-mo'money-mo'money!! and the insurance companies they have contracts with do not seem to care what happens to their members -you KNOW People have complained to deaf ears at blue cross Aetna home depot etc-yet they keep cvs caremark
